they're getting brave...

Last night, the kiddos were jumping into the pool off the steps. Carter was jumping off the top step and going under every time so I told him he might as well jump off the side of the pool. And sure enough, he did it!



over and over...


Sydney couldn't stand for her little brother to do something she couldn't do.
So she gave it a shot...


Yes...this is the same Sydney who didn't like to get her hair wet, or water in her mouth, or go under the water without getting all huffy! She's come a long way this summer!!

Next thing you know ol' Carter is standing on the diving board! It wasn't long before he was jumping off of that too! These are from today...



So Sydney once again had to keep up with her brother. She cried last night because she didn't want to jump in the deep water...
Today was a different story.



These belly flops look painful to me but she's happy so I'm happy :)

Emma even took a quick dip today to cool off :)


Sydney has also learned to swim a little this week. She can doggy paddle from the middle of the pool all the way to the steps by herself! She is so proud of herself!!
