5 months old!

So much to write, so little time!

Took these this week of Miss Allie, who is now 5 months old! She is so sweet...love her big ol' grins! Looks like she is about to die laughing but we only get a chuckle out of her here and there.

*loves grabbing her feet
*grabs at things in front of her; toys, paci, hair, especially Sydney's!
*does lots of talking
*loves to roll around on the floor. I put her on the floor in the LR one day and went to pick some stuff up in her room. I peeked out of her door and she was gone! Had rolled 1/3 of the way across the living room :)
*wants to crawl so bad...on the floor, she sticks her butt up and kinda inches forward a little bit at a time!
*can sit up by herself briefly. (I think it's because her butt is so wide!)
*if I am holding her and eating something, she stares it down! She would probably eat food but we haven't tried it yet.
*a little drooly
*so laid back...Sydney and Carter always want to be right on top of her and she takes it very well!
*wears 6-9 mo. clothes
*sleeps 8pm to 3:30am, eats, then sleeps until 7:30 or 8am (slept 8p-7a last night!!)

Carter is 4!

Can't believe "Carter-man" is 4 years old! His actual birthday was Wednesday and he requested to eat lunch at McDonald's! Grandma and Grandaddy came to visit so we went there with them! He scarfed his food down as usual and got ice cream for dessert!

Before we left, he got to open his presents from them. He was so excited...he got some workin' boots! He has been talking about getting those forever!! And a new t-shirt, a tie and a John Deere video! All of his favorite things!

We had church that night so when Kevin got home he opened his presents from us.  Kevin found a wonderful little crossbow that shoots darts at Bass ProShops.  Allie and I are thrilled about that...we are sure to be targets during the week ;)  He got a wallet, a belt for church (like Kevin's) and some sunglasses too.  Sounds like dumb things but he loves them all!!  That's just Carter...go figure!

So at 4 years old, Carter:
*loves to: be outside, ride the tractor, "work" in the dirt with his toy tractors, hang out with Kevin
*loves to wear: "work pants", "work shirt", "work socks", "work boots" (notice a trend here?)
*wants to be just like Kevin; MUST wear khaki pants and a button up shirt to church every Sunday, even if it is 95 degrees outside. Sticks quarters in his back pocket because he wants a wallet like Kevin .
*LOVES the Jason Aldean cd, especially "Big Green Tractor" and "She's Country."  But he can sing every song on there.  We saw him on CMT recently and now Carter says he wants a guitar.
*he and Sydney have started playing with the toys in the basement a lot recently.  They keep each other entertained with minimal arguing.
*he is borderline obsessed with Allie.  He loves her so much and wants to be around her all the time!  I am always telling him to "back up" because he gets right in her face hugging on her!  I like to "talk" for Allie so they can have little conversations...he loves her to tell him how handsome and strong he is!  :)  And she teases him all the time too which makes Carter laugh!

ZERO

this is how much free time I have lately.

and that's all I have time to write.

Carter starts preschool!

Tuesday was Carter's first day of preschool! Once he met Mrs. Holden earlier this month he was anxious to start! And what better way to start the school year then with a birthday party! We took cupcakes for the class and he got to wear the birthday hat! Too cool!

9/3/10; meet the teacher day

On the way to school today I asked him if he wanted to walk in with me or just drop him off. He said "you can just drop me off. 'cause I don't want you to walk in with me. I know the way."

oooooooook then ;)

After school, he told me that they played with toys on the carpet, Mrs. Holden read them a book, they went outside and played on the playground. I didn't get much more out of him! I wish I had a video camera in spy on him!!

the tooth fairy is coming tonight!

We got so lucky because we didn't have to pull that tooth out! Sydney was a little concerned about the pain level of losing a tooth ;) But she woke up this morning and spit it out in her hand! She even said "I'm glad I didn't swallow it!" Now she is anxiously awaiting for the tooth fairy to bring her some money!
