Carter is famous...almost! (ha!)

I've had a Pennsylvania trip on my mind lately. I was looking online at Cherry Crest farm today and had to do a double take when I saw Carter's picture on their website! Look here and scroll down a bit.

We went 2 years ago and had a great time! They had a photo contest at the time and I sent in 2 pictures. (Sending the pictures also meant giving them the rights to them, which I agreed to). I got honorable mention for one of the pictures (don't know which one) and 2 tickets for free admission that don't expire.

Anyway, seeing him on there was unexpected...and he's so little!

man, this place has been dead lately! I have been too tired to get anything written. I have some funny pics to show...will get them up soon :)

Carter's cake...

Carter will be turning 3 this week! How can that be?? He's pretty excited though!

Here's the cake I made for him...he loves construction equipment these days!! Between the new Kroger being built nearby and the road construction on 221 he gets to see it pretty often. And still yells "good job boys" out the window to them...so funny!

And this year he kept his paws off the cake...last year he swiped the tire off the tractor cake and nearly gave me heart failure after hours of icing the thing!!







OK, I just went back and looked at last year's pictures...too funny!

Aww....I can't believe how much older he looks this year!!

Fall is here (almost)!!

These cool nights and mornings lately make it feel that much more like fall! I love this time of year! All the summer flowers around here are pretty much burnt out so I headed to Wipledale Farms today to get some mums...I called mom to see if she wanted to go and she was getting ready to head there too!

The mums are gigantic of course and there are hundreds of them! In every color you can imagine! It's so hard to pick!

We hauled as many flowers as we could home...


I probably could have squeezed one or two more in there...ha ha! Now I need to get them all planted!!!

sydney's cats...

Here are Sydney's cats...Abby and her 4 month old kitten Bob. Well, he was Bobby but she wanted to shorten it to Bob. They are identical except for the spot on his nose...it's pretty weird.

Bob decided to attack Sydney's hair...I think he prefers her over everyone else. When she's around he rubs around her legs and lets her pick him up and hold him like a baby on his back. When she's outside, he is never far away!

homework...

Well, Sydney brought homework home for the first time today. She didn't mind doing it...she had to color all the squares on a worksheet. Not too bad but I still can't believe kindergarteners have homework.

Today Carter and I went and ate lunch with Sydney. She knew we were coming and excitedly showed us where to get our food in the cafeteria! It was good to see her at school and we will definitely go again!

When we got home we spent most of the afternoon outside...the weather has been perfect the past few days...sunny but not hot!



The little stinker kept blinking...this one he did on purpose...


but I was ready when he opened back up!
