wow...can't believe it's already been a week!
Here's miss long and lean...
She's been such a good baby this week...her day consists of eating, sleeping, pooping and when she's awake she is very content to look around. She is also very tolerant of Emma barking and Sydney and Carter talking to her round the clock :) The nights are even pretty consistent...go to bed at 10ish, up at 12, 3 and 6 give or take an hour. One night we went to bed at 10, she woke up to eat at 2:30 and didn't wake back up until 6!! I'll take that!!
We went to the doctor on Thursday and she weighed 8lbs 4 oz...when we left the hospital she was 7.13, so she gained all her weight back in a week! Dr. M said that was great and it usually took 10-14 days to do that. He said maybe I should teach a nursing class or have twins...ummm, no thank you!! Everything else looked great and she goes back at 2 months! I will probably take her back next month to be weighed though, just for curiosity.
Sydney and Carter have had a good week too...
We hit up the new Kroger for some milk, bread and Sprite the other day...I might send Carter to do all my grocery shopping from now on...
Carter has loved having Kevin home this week. He wears his "work pants" with the holes in the knees every day following Kevin around. They have mowed the grass, cut down trees, planted the garden, mulched the front of the house and pulled weeds! It's been a productive few days!
Sydney was happy for Kevin to take her to school this week...she kisses Allie goodbye in the morning and skips over to see her when she gets home! She likes for me to talk for Allie so they can have little conversations. Her favorite is when Allie says, "I am beautiful and you are just cute!" Sydney just busts out laughing at her!! Then she comes back and says, "oh yeah, well I wear underwear and you wear a diaper!!" They go back and forth picking on each other and it's
soooo funny!!
She had a date with Grandma on Thursday...it was Princess Night at Chick-fil-a. If you dress like a princess you got a free kids meal. Sydney came home and put on her Belle dress and pulled out her ponytail and brushed her hair straight. Then she put on a ring and some bracelets and she was ready to go!
They got there right when it started and mom said they went all out!! Red carpet outside going up to the door, Miss Lynchburg was there talking to everyone, the cow was taking pictures with people and there were princesses
everywhere!! They were even doing limo rides for girls who had signed up earlier! Quite impressive! Carter was going too but changed his mind at the last minute...he wanted to stay home and work in the garden with Kevin. He requested a chocolate milkshake though, so they brought one back for him!
Anyway, that's been our week so far. Miss Allie seems to fit right in and Sydney and Carter love having a little sister!
And I am I so glad not to be pregnant anymore!!!!!!
